uncomfortable. Stop the frivolous
spending. Plan yourself. I know you
have to look good, buy clothes, and
go out with friends. That is important
too. Don’t just make it a habit. Every
night turn up. Every night debit alert.
You can’t build wealth that way.
Have a separate account for your
savings different from your sal-
ary account, from your expenses
account. This point I picked from
another wonderful personal finance
book I read ‘The Smart Money
Woman’ by Arese Ugwu. So at the
end of the month when you collate
all that you have from your 9 to 5
(and your side business), from the
budget you have created, move
each expenses to each accounts.
I know it might be difficult for some
people to take out some certain
amount at the end of the month,
having to transfer and all can be tir-
ing. I know. There is a solution to help
you automatically take out your
money and help you save. www.
Piggybank.ng. What they do is they
help you automatically take out a
particular amount you want to save
daily, weekly or monthly. You set
the frequency; you set the amount
you want to save. What I love most
about it is, you can’t just decide to
withdraw from the account the way
you want. There are charges if you
decide to withdraw before the with-
drawal set dates; amazing, right? I
know. Your money is safe people;
they are in partnership with UBA.
Last but not the least when creating
your budget, please don’t forget to
include your tithe. Very important.
That can never be over empha-
sized.
Let us do this together, let us take
charge of our finances. Let us be
financially free.
