Foundation for supporting doctors’
training with N5.8m

Hospital (LASUTH),
Nigeria, have commended UBA
for supporting training activities.

approached the bank for
support. Other institutions should
emulate what UBA is doing in
fighting child mortality.”

(LASUTH) conveyed the
hospital management’s sincere
appreciation to UBA during the
cheque presentation by UBA
Foundation to LASUTH to enable
some of their doctors and nurses
undertake specialist training in
neo-natal care in India.
The training of doctors and
nurses in neo-natal care will take
place at the All Indian Institute
of Medical Sciences, a World
Health Organisation (WHO)
collaborative center for new
born babies.

explained that UBA decided to
support the training programme
as part of the bank’s contribution
to the development of Nigeria’s
health sector.

the gesture is part of the
Foundation’s Special Projects
initiative which comes on the
heels of similar donation of
incubators to seven teaching
hospitals in different parts
Nigeria.

the Ruby Account, a product
specially modelled for
discerning women of class, at the
plush Movenpick Ambassador Hotel
in Accra, Ghana.
Speaking at the product launch,
MD/CEO, UBA Ghana, Mrs. Abiola
Bawuah urged Ghanaian women
to embrace Ruby account
because of its unique
features.
The product comes in two
variants, the Ruby Classic,
which can be opened with
GH¢2,000.00 as a minimum
opening balance and Ruby
Premier, which requires
GH¢5,000.00 as its minimum
opening balance.
The account attracts
zero COT, access to
consumer credit facilities
and numerous discounts
at various partner shops,
outlets, and concierges
nationwide.
The launch was attended
by female politicians,
seasoned entertainment
executives, business
women, entrepreneurs who
are customers of the bank
and senior female reporters
from the media.
