Oil Executives
Pay Visit to UBA
House

xecutives of Société Nationale
de Pétrole du Congo (SNPC)
and ORION Oil DRC, led by the
Managing Director of Finance and
Accounting, SNPC, Nganongo Calixte
and Ebata Lucien, Managing Direc-
tor/CEO, ORION Oil, recently paid a
working visit to UBA House, Marina,
Lagos, Nigeria.
Speaking during the visit, Nganongo
Calixte explained that they were at
the UBA House to show their apprecia-
tion for the strong business relationship
between both companies and UBA,
which has seen UBA finance some
of the SNPC’s key projects. He also
used the opportunity to request UBA’s
support for the SNPC’s planned $1.5
billion loan syndication.
GMD/CEO, Phillips Oduoza in his
response, said that UBA is always eager
to support transactions financed by
Africans for Africans.

National Essay
Competition in
Ghana

n continuation of its leading role
and commitment in developing
Africa’s educational sector, UBA
Foundation on Wednesday Sep-
tition is coming when attention is being
given to educational development in
Ghana.

the ‘UBA National Essay Competition
in Ghana’, is scheduled to commence
with calls for entries from eligible partic-

2014.
Ghana’s Deputy Minister of Education,
Hon. Okudjeto Ablakwa officially un-
veiled the maiden edition of the essay
