UBA Benin Holds 21st AGM

BA Benin held their 21st Annual General
Meeting to present the Bank's 2012 annual
report and accounts to shareholders on
Friday, May 3, 2013 at the Benin Marina Hotel,
Cotonou.
The year closed on a good note for UBA Benin
with a balance sheet of CFAF179,353 million as
against CFAF117,552 million in 2011 - an increase
of 53 per cent. Net income was CFAF 727 million
against CFAF599 million in 2011 - an increase
of 188 per cent. On the basis of the net profit
obtained was generated distributable income
824,751,000, a net dividend of CFA F742 275 900,
corresponding to CFAF 675 francs per share net
of CFAF 10,000.
Mrs. Gwen Abiola-Oloke, MD/CEO, UBA Benin,
thanked the shareholders, customers and staff
for their efforts during the year 2012. She said
the mission of UBA Benin is to provide banking
services and support to the development of the
national economy and also social and humani-
tarian works.
Shareholders praised the performance of UBA
Benin during the year 2012 as Mr. Emmanuel
Nnorom, MD/CEO, UBA Africa acknowledged
the efforts of all stakeholders of the Bank and
reassured shareholders of future prospects.

he enhanced Ruby Premium
Account with specialized pack-
ages to cater for the needs of
women in the society was on Tues-
day, June 18, 2013 unveiled at UBA
House, Marina, Lagos, Nigeria.
Mrs. Tomori Ajayi, a customer of
UBA for 41 years spoke glowingly
about the Ruby Premium Account
for women in Lagos during the
special presentation of the product.
“After the initial scepticism when
the Branch Manager of my Busi-
ness Office introduced me to Ruby, I
have since found joy with the prod-
uct and recommend it
to all women”, she said
during the question and
answer session at the
event.

all walks of life at the UBA
