Kristen Bell is widely considered a beautiful actress).
However, she didn’t back down from anyone,
especially her rich and popular classmates who
bullied her. She was super smart. confident and just
a strong young woman (with a very smart mouth).
Veronica makes this show a must watch, especially
         for young women.

         Peggy Olson
         (Mad Men)
Mad Men is set in the corporate advertising world
of the 60s, and as we know women at that time
had little say or power in the job market, they were
either stay at home wives or secretaries which is
why Peggy Olson really stands out. Starting off
as secretary to the enigmatic Don Draper, it was
expected that her career trajectory would end with
her being…a secretary. However, Peggy manages to
work her way up in a toxic, male dominated industry
and ends up becoming a boss. If that’s not inspiring,
         I don’t know what is.

         Olivia Pope
         (Scandal)
I have my personal misgivings about this character
(why is she always shouting?!) but there’s no
denying she is a BOSS! As a crisis manager for
the politically elite, she has thwarted assassination
attempts and coup attempts, solved a few
murders, rigged elections and ran the most covert
intelligence agency (the fictional B6-13). She
basically ran the president of the United States
(and not just because she was sleeping with him).
While she may have done her best work in morally
grey areas, there’s no denying, Olivia Pope is an
         incredibly strong female character.

         Carmela Soprano
         (The Sopranos)
Carmela Soprano is not the typical kind of woman
you would expect to see on a list like this as she was
