TV’s most
powerful
leading ladies

I enjoy a good movie, but I’ve always loved watching
TV shows more. The serialised story telling allows
you more than an hour or two to get to know and
love the characters in the story to the point where
you feel you actually know them personally (unless
the show is cancelled before its first season is
even complete which happens more often than
you would think). As it’s women’s month (yes, I feel
the entire month of March should be dedicated to
women as one day just isn’t enough to celebrate
us), I thought it would be great to highlight a few
leading women from the small screen and what
makes them powerful characters.
Annalise Keating
(How to Get Away with Murder);
Though she had her demons, over six seasons
of the show it became pretty clear Annalise was
a badass lawyer who was incredibly smart and
cunning. She constantly won her cases while also
finding ways to protect her team and keep them
out of jail for killing someone (which they managed
to do quite a lot). She managed to do this rocking
beautiful outfits and maintaining her sexuality. Viola
Davis was fantastic at stripping away the mask and
