Lake Chad
Lake Chad was once the centre of Africa’s salt
trade and one of the largest freshwater lakes in the
world. But if you want to see it, then you have to
come soon because it is shrinking. The best time
to visit is between August and December when
the water level is at its highest. You can even see
hippos and crocodiles here.
