M
y love for Ogbono is endless.
In the past, I had several dis-
appointing experiences with it
but then I got a redefined method of
preparing it and it blew my mind.
You Might have had disappointing
experiences too or be in search of a
better method of preparation; per-
haps, you don’t know how to prepare
it or don’t even know it… Guess what?
You are going to fall in love too once
you’ve tried out my recipe. I will take
you through the most exciting prepa-
ratory steps for this amazing delicacy.
I’m already salivating… No shame, I’m
an unrepentant foodie!
First of all Ogbono is an African bush
mango seed also called ‘Apon’ by the
Yoruba’s. The Igbo’s call it ‘Ogbonno’.
Ogbono has a lot of health benefits. It
is rich in protein which is good for body
building. The seeds contains vitamins
and minerals such as thiamine, ribofla-
vin and niacin. It aids weight loss and
reduces cholesterol level. So when
you are eating Ogbono, just know
that you are eating yourself into good
