A visionary leader who was honoured
at the UBA CEO Awards for turning
around UBA Kenya in a very short time,
Mwige is quick to give credit to his
team for the success achieved so far.
“I am privileged to work with a team
that believes in me and the strategy
we have set. While we have made
positive strides, UBA Kenya is not yet
where it is supposed to be. The drive
remains strong to achieve greatness,
to get the Bank to where it was always
meant to be; at the top of Kenya’s
banking industry. It is a joint effort and

dient in reaching our goal."
When asked about where he envi-
sions UBA Kenya in three years, Mwige
smiles, as he says the journey of a
thousand miles begins with a single
step. “Our journey is well underway,
having made our first milestone in
February this year by breaking even.
With sustained momentum and qual-
ity service, UBA Kenya is destined to
be among the top 10 Banks in Kenya.”
