GMD leads high level business delegation to see President
Boni Yayi of Republic of Benin

hillips Oduoza, GMD, on Tuesday,
December 23, 2014, led a high lev-
el delegation on a business visit to
Benin Republic. GMD and his delegation
were personally received in audience at
the Presidential Palace by His Excellen-
cy, the President of the Republic of Be-
nin, Dr. Thomas Boni Yayi.
Speaking during the visit, GMD thanked
the President for personally receiving the
UBA delegation and for the warm wel-
come extended to him and his team. He
praised the President for the excellent
work he is doing in the country and in the
West African region. GMD used the visit
to pledge the support of the UBA Group
to campaign towards the facilitation of
trade between Benin and Nigeria as well
as funding the campaign.
He also introduced Africash to the Pres-
ident letting him know that it is a great
product to facilitate commercial ex-
changes between Benin Republic and
Nigeria while pledging that UBA will
support the developmental activities of
the government of Benin especially its
efforts to encourage the cotton industry.
President Boni Yayi, while welcoming
the UBA delegation praised UBA for the
bank’s vision especially for the innova-
tive products it has introduced into the
banking industry in Benin and for help-
ing encourage the development of a
positive relationship between Benin and
Nigeria.

Iweriebor, ED, and DMD UBA Africa; Mr.
Charles Aigbe, DH, Marketing and Cor-
