changer. Having shaken up the book-
selling market beyond recognition,
Amazon is on the threshold of doing
the same to other retailers, including
the best-known brand names in the
country and around here — Sears,

In these rapidly changing times, businesses are being consistently
reminded that standing still is not an option. The phenomenon of
disruptive technology is set to redefine who the major cloud-based
service providers of the near future are likely to be and this is leading
the four now competing against each other more and more – partic-
ularly Google, Apple and Amazon. Apple and Google have famously
dueled over smartphones since Google launched Android in 2008.
As Andreessen Horowitz analyst Benedict Evans noted in July 2016, it is
now clear that they will be the only two players in the market for some
time. Google’s Schmidt has called Google’s struggle with Apple the
“defining fight of the computer industry”. Schmidt, however, also calls
Amazon “our biggest search competitor”.
Amazon is competitive enough with both Apple and Google that
it no longer sells Apple TVs or Google Chromecasts, the two major
competitors to its own Fire TV device. Amazon’s AWS (Amazon Web
Services) cloud computing service for developers competes with
Google Cloud Platform.
Meanwhile, Google’s ad services battle Facebook’s, and Google,
Apple and Amazon all fight over the subscription music-streaming
market.
Also in battle is voice search. Apple has Siri on its iPhone and iPad.
Google Now plays the same role on Android devices. Amazon’s Alexa
and Google’s Home are being positioned as devices that link all your
electronics together and respond to voice requests.
Voice search is argued to be the single biggest threat to Google’s
central search business, because it is becoming an important con-
sumer interface to computing – one that competes with Google’s
search pages.
These giant four companies are trying to disrupt every other business in
Global economies today and they all seem to be heading to a ‘mas-
sive collision’ as they each encroach and invade each other’s tradi-
tional places and business. They have so far been collaborative with
Banks but is there a possibility for them to compete against banks?

hits 20 percent of sales in a cat-
egory, as with the legacy retailers,
it ends up "crushing" the com-
petition and forcing it to drasti-
cally retrench, according to a
MarketWatch analysis.
Amazon isn't satisfied with only
upending traditional retail.

and brands, the Seattle-based
company is infiltrating the blood-
stream of modern life. It's getting
into technology, fashion, grocery
shopping, media, entertainment
and anything else Bezos and his
team can envision.
