UBA Chairman, Tony Elumelu
UBA Gabon commits to support economic growth in Gabon
Executives of UBA Gabon, after the 19th
Board meeting which held recently, paid
a courtesy visit to the Prime Minister of
Gabon, Daniel Ona Ondo.
The MD/CEO, UBA Gabon, Mamadou
Sanon took the opportunity to congrat-
ulate the Prime Minister on his appoint-
ment and reaffirmed the Bank’s commit-
ment to the economic development of
the country. He also used the opportunity
to market the Bank’s Prepaid card, “Afri-
card” letting him know that it is the ideal
card for the country’s diplomats and
citizens within and outside the country.
Welcoming the UBA Executives, the Prime
Minister thanked the Bank for supporting
the various developmental initiatives of
government and for its financial advice.
He confirmed his government’s commit-
ment to work with UBA.
The delegation also visited the Minister
of Employment, Mr. Ntoutoume Emane,
who the MD thanked for his collabora-
tion with UBA Gabon in terms of Human
Resources Management.

President Denis Sassou Nguesso, of
Congo Brazzaville on February 25,
2015, played host to Mr. Tony O.
Elumelu, Chairman, UBA Plc, who paid
a courtesy visit to the President at
the presidential palace in Brazzaville,
where he outlined UBA’s strategic
vision for accelerating its growth in
2015 in line with the exciting economic
developments in the Congo.
Mr. Elumelu, who was on a working visit
to the country, was accompanied on
the visit by the Executive Director/Depu-
ty CEO, UBA Africa, Mr. Emeke Iweriebor
and SBG Head, Energy Bank, Mr. Razak
Shittu.
The President, while welcoming Mr. Elu-
melu, praised him for his philanthropic
and entrepreneurial activities across Af-
rica and the significant role UBA Congo
Brazzaville is playing in the country.
Mr. Elumelu used the opportunity of
being in the country to visit the Head
Office of UBA Congo Brazzaville where
he had an interactive session with staff
of the bank. He commended them on
their exceptional performance, which
has made UBA Congo Brazzaville, one
of the leading financial institutions in
Congo.
