What does
your hair say
about you?

e have all heard the
phrase “Hair is a wom-
an’s glory”. What is it
with our hair and what does our
hair ultimately say about us?
LENGTH
A recent survey of males by a
popular British magazine found
that men found long hair more
attractive in women than short
hair. More revealing is the four
characteristics men associate
with long hair; sexy, fun, young
and interestingly, “wife material”.
Long, straight hair, is seen as the
sexiest and most affluent style. It
is associated with glamour and is
seen on celebrities.
Medium length hair suggests that
you are intelligent and good-
natured. Short lengths are often
connected to masculinity, but
can also be the style of choice
amongst outgoing and confident
women.
COLOR
Bold, bright colors send a mes-
sage that you are original, unu-
sual, fun and confident.
CUT
Classic cut and stylish looks with
a parting in the middle or on
either side are most preferred. It
suggests a professional, motivat-
ed, career-oriented person, while
still being playful and youthful.
Blunt and sharp cuts are seen as
the more trendy, "high fashion"
choice these days and send a
very strong, secure message
whilst projecting individuality.
TEXTURE
Women with curly or wavy hair
are seen as most likeable and
approachable. They are thought
to be easy going and not expen-
sive. In the work environment,
they come across as willing
to work harder than others to
achieve the company’s objec-
tives.
However, it is important to note
that those with stick-straight hair
portray more seriousness and ef-
ficiency towards work as they are
viewed as being less concerned
with how they look, than the
work they do.
Whilst women often add exten-
sions and colours to their hair to
add to their beauty or increase
their mystic, many still find that
rocking your natural locks and
texture of hair is proof that you
are a sexy and confident wom-
an.
Regardless of the cut, length,
color and texture of your hair,
your hair is a huge part of your
identity and provides a versatile
medium for you to change your
look whenever you want to. It
can bring out your personality in
many ways, help you feel more
confident, appear more ap-
proachable, show your playful
side or simply project whatever
beauty lies beneath.
