Fishermen on the shores of

largest tropical lake
The Shrine is well known for its beauti-
ful and unique interior and exterior,
but it is specially noted for its shape
and architectural plan: the 22 copper
pillars-over 100 feet long that support
the shrine built in form of an African
hut and its wooden doors that depict
the history of the Martyrs.
Kampala, the capital and largest
city in Uganda is one of East Africa’s
most bustling cities. With nightlife
unmatched by many the city is a
great attraction to tourists and locals
alike. Some of the places one must
visit while in Kampala are the Uganda
Museum, the Nommo Art Gallery,
Rubaga Cathedral, Namirembe
Cathedral, Gaddafi National Mosque,
Bahai Temple, Parliament Building,
Independence Monument, Owino
and Nakasero Markets and the
Wamala Tombs.
Uganda is home to some of the most
breath-taking tourist locations, these
include the Queen Elizabeth National
Park, spread over 1,979 square kilo-
metres, spreading out into four dis-
tricts in Western Uganda and home to
95 different species of mammals and
more than 500 species of birds. Other
national parks include the Kidepo
Valley National Park, Lake Mburo
National Park, Bwindi Impenetrable
National Park, Rwenzori Mountains
National Park and Murchison Falls
National Park.
