The Lion King | 1
Africa is rising and as a pan-African bank, we
strongly believe in the future of Africa. The
continent’s prospects are very bright, driven
by strong economic reforms combined with a
growing and young population.
Our lead story explores Africa’s consumer
market and the huge opportunities it holds for
consumer banking in future. It shows, as a pan-
African financial institution, how we are not
only facilitating the emergence of the African
continent, but are also positioning to be part of
that future.
We also had an interesting interview with
Olumide Osunyomi, Head Retail Banking, whose
insights on the bank’s retail banking drive and
strategy, are quite revealing.
Senegal is an interesting tourist location and so if
you are thinking of a good holiday spot to spend
your leave this year, then you should be heading
to Senegal. We have captured its many tourist
attractions and rich history, in this edition of LKM.
Be ready to change your holiday plans.
Also from Senegal, Ndiaye Sow, MD/CEO of UBA
Senegal is our personality on ‘Growing the Seed’.
Read her take on banking to complete our focus
on the French speaking African country.
This edition of the LKM is as usual, educating,
entertaining and informative. We have enjoyed
every article and are optimistic that you will
equally enjoy every bit of this interesting edition.
Do not fail to give us your feedback.
Enjoy!
