he Managing Director, Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) of McK-
insey & Company, a global management consulting firm, Mr. Michael
Halbye has commended UBA for the turnaround in financial perform-

Outstanding Contribution

igeria High Commission in Sierra Leone
on February 23, 2012 held the maiden
edition of The Nigeria Awards at The
Family Kingdom, Aberdeen. The event was
hosted by the Nigeria High Commissioner to
Sierra Leone, Amb. Eyo Asuquo and was well
attended by ministers of government and
corporate organizations.
The event was organized to recognize the
outstanding contributions of individuals as well
as corporate organizations to the development
of Nigeria/Sierra Leone relations. Speaking
at the event, Amb. Eyo Asuquo commended
award recipients for their tireless effort even
outside their home country in ensuring they
contributed immensely to the development
of Nigeria and Sierra Leone.UBA Sierra Leone
received a merit award for her outstanding
contributions to the development of the
Nigerian Community and Nigeria/Sierra Leone
relations. The Plaque and the merit certificate
were presented by the Sierra Leone Deputy
Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mrs. Ebun Jusu to Mr.
Ndubuisi Ejiofor, MD/CEO, UBA Sierra Leone.
The extract from the merit award citation for
