BA Congo Brazzaville has begun an
aggressive customer re-activation pro-
gramme. The initiative, which is in line
with Project Alpha, entails a series of direct
marketing sessions targeted at various com-
panies.
The UBA team, led by Branch Manager of
Poto Poto branch, Vivien Binimbi, recently
made a presentation to the staff of ASECNA,
informing them that UBA was ready to meet
their expectations as far as electronic bank-
ing and loans are concerned.
On his part, Mr. Salif Goita, Operation Man-
ager of ASECNA, thanked UBA for the initia-
tive even as other staff of the company were
delighted by the products and services
offered by UBA.

BA has started the year
on a bright note winning
a Service Excellence
Award in the maiden edition
of the Nigerian Consumer
Awards (NiCA). The Awards
which held recently at the
Sheraton Hotel and Towers was
organised by the Consumer
Protection Council of Nigeria.
The Service Excellence Award
presented to the bank was
in recognition of UBA’s con-
tribution towards enhanced
consumer welfare, thereby
improving the regime of con-
sumer protection in Nigeria,
providing goods and services
and bringing to the fore the
strategic position of the con-
sumer/customer as ‘King’ in all
spheres of the bank’s business.
Speaking at the event, the
Director General, Consumer
Protection Council said that
the winners in the various
categories of awards were
chosen by votes of consumers/
customers using the instru-
ments of survey and text mes-
sages. In guaranteeing the
integrity and transparency of
the process, the result of vot-
ing was verified and authen-
ticated by an Award Verifica-
tion Panel made up of highly
reputable members, drawn
from a cross section of organi-
sations including the Nigeria
Labour Congress, the media,
Organised Private Sector, Na-
tional Association of Nigerian
Students (NANS), Standards
Organisation of Nigeria (SON)
and the Nigerian Communica-
tions Commission (NCC).
