BA Benin has been awarded the “Interna-
tional Diamond Prize for Customer satisfaction,
2012”. The award was given to the bank by
the European Society for Quality Research (ESQR),
an International research and survey company
based in Europe.
Expressing her joy on the award, MD/CEO, UBA Be-
nin, Gwen Abiola-Oloke said, “This is a very encour-
aging development for us. It validates all the actions
we have been working so hard to put together as
we took over the legacy bank with the trappings of
its old system and methods. This shows the customers
out there truly appreciate what we are doing and
indeed we have made a big difference in Benin Re-
public in terms of customer satisfaction.”
UBA is the only bank and the only company chosen
in Benin Republic for this award as each country pro-
duces only one awardee thus other awardees were
from other countries in Africa, Europe, Asia, etc. The
award winning companies and organizations were
selected by ESQR following the ESQR Quality Perfor-
mance Model criteria: Customer Satisfaction, Train-
ing, Planning and Continuous Quality Improvement
Techniques.

BA Ghana lived up to its billing as one of the
top players within the Ghanaian banking land-
scape at the recently held Banking Awards.
The bank scooped a total of seven awards which
was the second highest number of awards won on
the night to further manifest its enviable credentials
among its peers.
UBA won awards in the following categories: Winner,
Best Bank in Short Term Loan Financing; 1st Runner –
Up Best Bank in Corporate Banking; 1st Runner – Up
Best Bank in Trade Finance; 1st Runner – Up Best Bank
in IT / Electronic Banking; 1st Runner – Up Best Grow-
ing Bank; 2nd Runner – Up Best Bank Medium Term
Financing and 2nd Runner – Up Best Bank in Long
Term Financing.
According to the MD/CEO, UBA Ghana, Mr. Oliver
Alawuba, “this large haul of awards which is the
banks largest collection till date is another clear in-
dication of how far the bank has come in terms of
providing our cherished customers with the right mix
of products and services so as to satisfy their ever
increasing needs” he said.
Mr. Alawuba entreated every member of the UBA
family to be proud of the awards and the many suc-
cesses the bank has recorded in the recent past. He
dedicated the awards to the customers for their be-
lief and unflinching support to UBA Ghana and to
Staff for their invaluable contributions.

egal celebrated its 3rd
anniversary.
This year’s celebration brought to-
gether staff and customers of the
bank while all the EXCO members
moved to the Business Offices to
share this symbolic moment with
staff and customers.
The customers who could not hide
their joy, expressed satisfaction on
the services delivered by the Bank
since its inception in 2009.
