Vera Songwe
Vera is an economist and banking executive from
Cameroon who has worked for the World Bank
since 1998, and in 2015 became Western and
Central Africa’s regional director for the International Source: Wikipedia
Finance Corporation. She is the first woman to head
the UN Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) at
the level of Under Secretary-General.
She holds a PhD in Mathematical Economics Vera Songwe
from the Center for Operations Research and She is the first woman to head the UN
Econometrics and a Master of Arts in Law and Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) at
Economics and a Diplôme d’études approfondies in the level of Under Secretary-General.
