BA Uganda has officially
unveiled its new Head Office in
the Ugandan capital, Kampala.
The new Head Office premises are
also home to two of the largest UBA
branches in Uganda: Jinja Road
(Main) Branch and Prestige Branch.
This follows the successful relocation
of the two branches and Head Office
that happened in February 2017.
The official opening of the strategi-
cally located office was done at an
well positioned as a one-stop finan-
cial services institution with a growing
reputation as the face of cross-border
banking on the continent.
Honorable David Bahati, the State
Minister for Finance, Planning and
Urban Development, who was also
the Chief Guest at the event com-
mended UBA Uganda for the move to
the new location noting that it will cer-
tainly make the bank a lot more visible
and will provide greater convenience
and accessibility for new and existing
customers.
Mr. Bahati recognized UBA’s long-
term importance to the economy
of Uganda stating that commercial
banks such as UBA not only provide
employment to young, qualified and
talented people, but they also work
with the government to boost the
economy through robust private sec-
tor lending.
UBA Uganda Board Chairman, Dr. Ben
Mbonye in his remarks reassured the
bank’s clients of the strength and
stability of UBA Uganda. “We are a
strong and reliable partner”, he said.
Dr. Mbonye also introduced members
of the now larger Board of Directors
and the Executive Management
Committee. “This is only a representa-
tion of the team that works tirelessly,
day and night, to keep your money
safe,” Dr Mbonye said to a cheering
audience.

Speaking proudly on the remark-
able journey to becoming one of
Africa’s strongest financial institutions,
UBA Uganda’s Managing Director,
Mr. Johnson Agoreyo informed guests
that as a Pan-African bank, UBA is
