What
I wear
to work
Oscar Ede
is a Profit Centre
Manager (PCM) at the Ajose
Adeogun Business Office.
What do you like
about your job?
Sales is an interesting
part of banking. The idea
of helping customers
solve their business issues
through finances is very
satisfying.
Red polka dot socks?
It’s been a going trend to match your neck tie and your socks but we
need to remember that Banking is a conservative profession. So in
order to balance going trends with the profession, I chose the red polka
dot socks to keep it subtle, plus red is the bank’s predominant colour.
What do you like in clothes?
The most important rule to choosing your
clothes is being comfortable in your attire.
It is very important that you are dressed
the way you wish to be addressed.
Looking good and wearing the right
clothes for the right occasions adds vigour
to your confidence and personality.
Your style, your
work personality?
My work personality is an
embodiment of drive,
confidence, continual
success and more. My
style represents all of this.
Pocket
square?
The pocket
square is a style
accessory that
stands me out
from the average
Banker. One rule
of sales is that
people first buy
into you before
they buy into
your product.
Abhor in dressing?
I totally dislike clumsy
outfits and not paying
attention to little details.
Your idea of ‘dressed for the job’?
Being dressed for the job is simply dressing
ideally to suit the job function. A sales
representative in a bank should always exude
confidence through his presentation, dapper
dress code and full knowledge of his products
and services.
