Editor’s Letter
Dear Lions and Lionesses
How time flies. We are in 2014! In the New Year and
beyond, technology will continue to transform
banking services like all other human endeavours.
The impact of technology on banking services is
in several ways but perhaps more profound is the
convenience that it has brought to the way we
bank. Our cover article ‘The Nearest UBA Business
Office is here’ and other supporting articles show
the exciting possibilities of e-banking with UBA. It
should be a must read for you.
If you have never been to Tanzania, here is an
opportunity to delightfully explore the country of
Kilimanjaro in “Country Focus” section. Climb with
us to the heights of Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest
mountain and navigate through the crevices of
the Amboni caves, the most extensive limestone
caves in East Africa and whilst still at it, get to
meet with Demola Ogunfeyimi. You will find his
interview in “Growing the Seed” section quite
refreshing as he talks about UBA Tanzania.
Treasury Bills are safe investments. Have you
considered making this risk free investment?
Check out ‘How to make smart investments in
treasury bills’. You will find this very informative.
As bankers we always try to look our best so if
you are wondering how to improve your looks this
year, then do not fail to read ‘What your hair says
about you’ plus other articles in this edition of the
Lion King packaged to inform and educate.
Happy New Year and Happy Reading.
