Before now, there was the UBA Dou-
ble Gain promo, the fifth in the se-
ries of savings promotion which was
targeted at the lower cadre of sav-
ings account holders of the bank.
The whole idea of the promo was to
eradicate poverty by encouraging a
savings culture. The bank not only gave
winners their cash prizes, they also got
proper financial advice on how they
could invest and multiply such invest-
ments. Prior to this time, the bank had
embarked on the Lion King Millionaire
promotion which ran for14 weeks. The
draws for the Lion king Millionaire were
conducted every two weeks at desig-
nated Palaces of traditional rulers and
Royal Fathers. Indeed, the promo was a
unique concept by the bank to re-inject
some of its profit into the society to better
the lives of its customers and host com-
munities. Apart from rewarding winners
in the Lion king Millionaire promo with
N1million each, the bank also donated
the sum of N500, 000.00 towards commu-
nity development projects in the various
communities where the draws were held.
Other savings promo embarked by the
bank in the past included the Wise Mil-
lionaire promotion in which 7 wise sav-
ers emerged as the first set of millionaires,
and The Grand Slam Savings Promo.
