TIPS FOR BUYING
THE RIGHT SUIT
BY NONSO NDUANYA
Black seeds oil:
Very efficient against post-
partum hair loss.
Coconut:
This light oil has anti-fungal properties
and works wonders to get rid of dandruff
Castor Oil:
Recommended for dried or dam-
aged hair, and hair growth. The Jamaican
black type is highly potent.
Palm kernel oil:
Very similar to palm oil, it is
light and easily absorbed by hair.
BUTTERS
Shea Butter:
Softens hair. If you do not like
the nutty smell, you may add a few drops
of essential oils such as sweet orange for the
fruity fragrance. If too heavy for your hair, just
mix it with any light oil such as coconut, palm
kernel or olive.
Raw Cocoa Butter:
This nice chocolaty-scent-
ed butter is similar to shea butter as it softens
hair and makes it more manageable.
BEST ESSENTIAL OILS
Tea Tree:
Anti-fungal and anti-bacterial prop-
erties.
Mint:
Promotes hair growth by activating
blood circulation and purifying scalp.
NB:
Prefer organic oils because they are pes-
ticide-free. Always dilute: 12 drops of essential
oil to each fl. ounce (30 ml) of carrier oil or
vegetable butter.

conditioners effectively penetrate the
hair shaft and deliver results.
9.
To straighten your hair without heat,
thread it, keep it overnight and take it out.
10.
Use black soap instead of shampoo to
protect your hair from hair-drying sulfites.
CHOOSE COLOURS WISELY.
The three most important
colours to go for when choosing suits for your wardrobe are
solid navy blue, charcoal grey and black.
GO FOR FITTED.
Oversized suits make you look sloppy
while skin-tight suits take away the respectability you seek.
GET THE SHOULDERS RIGHT.
There’s no sorer sight than
drooping shoulders. Your suit’s shoulder seams should never
extend beyond your actual shoulders.
PAY THE RIGHT PRICE.
A decent suit will definitely cost
you a little more but it’s a small price to pay for the impres-
sion you will make when you wear it. However, what matters
most is ensuring your suit sits well on you!
