oel admits that economic growth
has slowed relatively in the last one
year in Burkina Faso due to a drop
in commodity prices and the political
transition the country is currently going
through, but he says that the govern-
ment has responded positively by cut-
ting down on expenses like travels and
certain allowances for government
officials and civil servants, while at the
same time, increasing expenditure on
education, healthcare and job cre-
ation for women and youths.
