winding-up and licenses being surrendered. In terms
of profitability, UBA Pensions ranks 2nd of the 5 reg-
istered custodians and 3rd in terms of assets under
custody.
As of 1st quarter of 2012, the number of Retirement
Savings Account (RSA) holders under management
stood at 1,559,520 of the Industry figure of 5,048,440.
UBA Pensions had continued to secure the man-
dates of Pension Fund Administrators based on con-
sistent outstanding performance. Our philosophy is

FOSTERING CORPORATE UNITY
In a bid to socialise with our 11 PFA clients, the Com-
pany had since 2009 organised a yearly 5-aside
football competition. The maiden edition in 2009
was won by ARM Pension Managers Limited, while
Leadway Pensure PFA Limited was champion for
year 2010. ARM Pension continues to dominate the
event as they remained champions for years 2011
and 2012 respectively.
The competition has provided a good platform for
social interaction amongst staff of operators.
REGULATORY COMPLIANCE
As an institution operating under a Regulator that
adopts a Risk-Based Supervision, and giving our mis-
sion to create a safe haven for pension assets and
deliver world-class custodian services, using skilled
and highly motivated staff, state-of-the-art technol-
ogy and a stakeholder approach in the conduct of
our business, UBA Pensions had established a robust
system and processes that aims at minimizing the
inherent operational risk of its business. The com-
pany currently enjoys a Medium Risk Rating from its
Regulator, PenCom, and this is a positive indicator
towards achieving the Board and Management’s
goal of Low Risk Rating by the end of 2011 examina-
tion.
AWARDS
The Company remains recipient of the most prof-
itable non-bank subsidiary award within the UBA
Group for 2 successive years - 2010 and 2011. We
intend to sustain and enhance the achievements.
