Editor’s Letter
Dear Lions and Lionesses,
Welcome once again to another edition of our Lion King maga-
zine. We appreciate your readership and hope you will enjoy this
edition as with the previous ones.
‘Orchestrating Business Performance’ is the theme for the Lion
King. Our choice is predicated on our strong desire to leverage the
growth opportunities around us, given that we have put in place
the right infrastructure and framework to propel us into the next
growth phase. Consequently the scope and relevance of perfor-
mance management is germane and critical to success as you
will find in the cover story.
We also highlighted key indicators of a successful relationship
between managers and their employees as we strive to ensure
a smooth work relationships in line with one of our core values of
‘empathy’. This package also dwells on seven principles of moti-
vation and benefits to a workforce.
In the ‘Ask the Executive’ section, our Company Secretary, Mr. Bili
Odum relives his philosophy for success at work. According to him,
service predicated on true respect leads to service delivery. Bili’s
interview is just as stimulating as the Q & A with Chioma Mang, MD
UBA Liberia. Having come out of years of war and strife, it’s amaz-
ing how the country has turned around.
All of these, including feature articles on health, gadgets, movies
and more, have combined to make the LK another bumper edi-
tion.
Happy reading!
