growth trajectory in the banking
industry?
CM: I am a humble and dedicated
home girl froma lovely village, Abiri-
ba in Abia State, aka Small London
because of its architectural beauty. I
was born into a family of 21 children
(14th for my father and 3rd for my
mother). I had my secondary school
education in FGGC, Abuloma, Riv-
ers State and my A Levels in a pri-
vate college in Oxford, undergradu-
ate and post graduate education in
University of Reading and University
College London (UCL) respectively.
After my Bar Education in Lagos, I
started my banking career in Trea-
sury department of Midas Merchant
Bank as a Corper in 1990. I got mar-
ried in 1993 and moved over to the
Eastern part of Nigeria to start a fam-
ily and worked with Chartered Bank
where I moved through the ranks
in various capacities in operations
and marketing. I joined the UBA
family on June 15th, 1999 and have
worked from PCM to BM to Sector
Head to RD and now MD/CEO Libe-
ria. I have three adorable children,
a daughter and two boys who are
all currently in secondary school.
