MOUNT NIMBA
This breath-taking Nature Reserve reaches
1752m and is part of a 40km long ridge,
and consists of high altitude grassland,
plains, savannah, primary forest, includ-
ing rain forest.
It is a sight to behold with the surrounding
tumbling sparkling rivers and waterfalls.
KPATAWEE WATERFALL
Find yourself lost in the marvels of Kpa-
tawee Waterfall through the rain forest
and past tiny villages.
One of the most interesting features
of the upper falls was a series of holes
that had been eroded through these
rocks. The water shoots through from up
above.
THE PROVIDENCE BAPTIST CHURCH
This ancient but solid building sits atop
Broad Street in Central Monrovia, and
houses the first Christian Church in Liberia.
Founded by early missionaries from the
USA, it has become a historical reference
point for hosting the first Legislative Assem-
bly of the Republic of Liberia. Other histori-
cal sites include the Old Executive Man-
sion, which used to be the seat of power
before the construction of a new one, and
the Centennial Memorial Pavilion which
hosts the inauguration of successive gov-
ernments and serves as the official place
of interment for deceased Presidents of the
Republic.
Liberia boasts of a beautiful coastline dot-
ted by exotic beaches. A visit to this land
of freedom will not be complete without
touring some of these natural relaxation
havens.
